Quotable Quote

" I bend to sweep crumbs and I bend to wipe vomit and I bend to pick up
little ones and wipe away tears... And at the end of these days I bend next to
the bed and I ask only that I could bend more, bend lower. Because I serve a
Savior who came to be a servant. He lived bent low. And bent down here is where I see His face. And people say, “Don’t you get tired?” and yes, I do. But I’m face to face with Jesus in the dirt, and the more I bend the harder and better and fuller this life gets. And sure, we are tired, but oh we are happy. Because bent down low is where we find fullness
of Joy.” ― Katie J.Davis

Easter Hunt @ Jackie's

Jackie was kind enough to invite us over for lunch and an Easter egg hunt! All the kids got along great! Grandma and Trevan came and joined us and we had a great visit in Jackie's beautiful home! My only regret is that we don't live closer so that we can get together more often!

Gavin looking so much like his mom, showing off his candy!
Oakley didn't waste any time eating his candy and begging off some of his mom's candy as well!

Bowling

I'm in a rush to update my blogging so I can print a blog book. We went bowling a few months back at a great bowling alley we have out here.

Ava is always a little mother. She loves baby Jesse! And yes, I do take my baby out in public in feet pajamas! And I'm sure Breck was wearing cowboy boots with sweats before he put his bowling shoes on!!

Gracie's Baptism

Yep you read that right! My baby girl is old enough to be baptized!!! We had a wonderful time with family and friends on Saturday, February 4th, 2012 as we came together to celebrate Gracie's big day! I appreciate everyone that came and supported her. She is truly blessed to have so many wonderful people around her!

15 things about Gracie (off the top of my head):

1. She loves, absolutely loves, to look in the mirror. If I am curling her hair in front of the mirror and I need her to turn to the side she will pull out a hand held mirror. If my face was that beautiful I think I'd do the same.

2. She is a perfectionist just like her daddy!

3. She is ready for school every morning AT LEAST one hour before it starts. She spends the remainder of the morning yelling at Ava to get ready. Polar opposites.

4. She loves to practice cursive. She is not yet learning it in school, so she has begged me to teach her what little I remember....there I said it. I hate cursive! She is practicing her signature for when she gets married. I will spare her the embarassment of telling ya'll the future last name....and no it's not Bieber.

5. She loves to complain and make things seem harder than they are just like her mama.

6. She is an excellent student and a great speller.

7. She loves nachos!

8. She has mastered the art of making pigs in a blanket and.....no kidding.....made them better than me her first time. That's where her perfectionism comes in handy.

9. She can go down the slide all by herself at the public pool and LOVES it!

10. She loves some music that would surprise you including Don't Stop Believing by Journey, Sweet Child O Mine by Guns N Roses, and Crazy Train by Ozzy.

11. Her favorite colors are green and blue.

12. She is awesome at gymnastics and piano lessons, but too lazy to go to either.

13. She loves to point out her mother's flaws, from singing too loud in church to having cleavage hanging out of my pj's.

14. She is very tender hearted and quick to apologize.....usually!

15. She is a super daughter and we love her bunches!

Gracie and I took her birthday money and went to the mall where she proceeded to blow almost all of it at Build a Bear. Funny thing is I think I have only seen the bear she bought maybe twice since. She looked forward to this excursion for weeks and we had a great time. I love spending one on one time with my kids and getting to know each one of them better!

Wax Museum

Gracie with friends Keirstyn (Rosa Parks) and Katelyn (Albert Einstein).

I have been slacking on my blog. I'm planning on printing another blog book in March so I need to get caught up!

The second graders at Gracie's school put on a wax museum. They each had a different person they were representing. Gracie was Pocahontas. They were to sit still on their chair until somebody came up to them and then they were supposed to come to life, stand up, and tell you about their character. Gracie memorized 4 paragraphs about Pocahontas. This is Gracie's "I hope nobody comes to my chair!" face.

She told me her outfit made her look like a chicken! Pretty cute chicken I'd say!

Jesse was not amused with all the festivities.

Gracie and Haili (not sure who she was dressed as). Gracie and Kenzie (Helen Keller) with their silly sisters Kassie and Ava in the background.

Christmas 2011

Highlights of the loot:

Gracie: doll crib, doll highchair, boy/girl Barbies.
Ava: Justin Bieber Barbie (against my will), modeling clay, doll with rocking horse.
Breck: Lincoln Logs, camo play tent, bike.
Jesse: blocks, carpenter play set.

I feel truly blessed to have these adorable kids and great husband to share this Christmas season with. The Lord has truly blessed us in 2011, and I'm looking forward to 2012.

Late Night and Nonsense

My kids know I hate sleepovers and so they have stopped bugging me about them and started bugging me about "late nights." I'm ok with the idea of late nights cause my "late" is round about 8 p.m. So Gracie had her twin friends Katelyn and Kiersten over the other night for pizza, a movie, and a facial. They had SO much fun!

Sunday morning the kids wanted to break out the camera and play around. What else is there to do when church starts at 1p.m.?

Ya ya so I'm starting to grow a double chin....what's new? I also saw a granny arm starting to hang as I blow dried my hair the other day. Ah the joys of nearing your 30s.

Oh and we can't forget our new kitty we got from the neighbor. She is meowing in this picture hoping to get away from Ava ASAP, but she is actually really really sweet. I love having her around at night for company when the kids are in bed. Gracie says her name is Whitney so I just call her Whit.

Lisa and Van's Wedding

My sister got married on Sept 30th. I couldn't be happier for her! I wish them both all the best and every blessing the Lord has to offer. Jesse, Breck, and Jackie's boys Gavin and Oakley.

Jesse's 1st Birthday

So it's come and gone. My baby's first birthday! I can't believe he is now 13 months old. His favorite things to do are pull pans from the cupboard, pull hazardous cleaning products from the cupboard, scream at the top of his lungs for attention, and give "loves" to his favorite people (i,e mom and mom).

I was trying to balance a video camera and digital camera at the same time so I wasn't able to capture any still shots of Breck and Ava. Ava got a vampire face and Breck got spiderman or superman or some other man. I can't remember. Gracie was dead set on getting a snow leopard in pink, blue and white. She was the first one in line. I think it turned out cute.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped celebrate. I honestly don't remember if I sent thank you cards or not. My brain hurts!
