Quotable Quote
" I bend to sweep crumbs and I bend to wipe vomit and I bend to pick up
little ones and wipe away tears... And at the end of these days I bend next to
the bed and I ask only that I could bend more, bend lower. Because I serve a
Savior who came to be a servant. He lived bent low. And bent down here is where I see His face. And people say, “Don’t you get tired?” and yes, I do. But I’m face to face with Jesus in the dirt, and the more I bend the harder and better and fuller this life gets. And sure, we are tired, but oh we are happy. Because bent down low is where we find fullness
of Joy.” ― Katie J.Davis

Gracie 5 year Check
It's done! HALLELUJAH! Gracie got 4 shots for Kindergarten today, and I am so glad! Why? Because now I don't have to hear, "I don't want to go to Kindergarten." another day in my life. Now that her shots are over, she is loving the thought of going to kindergarten.....ok now I've stopped capitalizing it....is it capitalized or not? Anyway her stats are as follows:
Weight: 36 pounds........40%
Height: 43 3/4 inches...60%
How did I get a taller than average, skinnier than average child? Don't ask me!
This is a pic I took a few days ago. Our snow is all gone now. I know, I know! Ava's pacifier is a monstrosity at her age....so sue me!

The Infamous Spray Bottle
The spray bottle at our house is basically a member of the family. These are a dollar at Walmart, and have given my kids hours of entertainment. It's funny I haven't bought more than one. The pictures below demonstrate one of it's uses.
The girls get up in the morning and play "beauty shop" in their room, which consists of spraying their hair with the spray bottle, and then plastering it (think greasy) with my bottle of conditioning cream.
By afternoon they are spraying the walls, their toys, and yes even the t.v at times (much to my chagrin) as they "clean" for me. They use up most of their clean rags in the bathroom to accomplish this task.
As you can see by night time they have taken to spraying each other in the bathtub with it.
They have also used it in not so conventional ways, like when I filled it with water and food coloring, and they sprayed the snow pink and made "pink food" in my empty plant holder. Then dad wonders why he is always finding spoons outside....well they have to be able to stir their "food" right?
The reason I remembered to post about this is because I got a 6 a.m. wakeup call from Gracie as she squirt me right in the face with the infamous water bottle. Of course, I took it from her and sprayed her back, and then told her that was rude and to get out of my room immediately. ;-)
Ryan wonders why I put up with chaos like this at our house. My reply, "Cheap entertainment means more mom time for me!" Yes I am a selfish person!

I'm back
Our computer has had a virus and I have not been able to post; Ryan got rid of the virus last night. Of course it will only be a matter of time before it is back I'm sure. But for now I am happily posting again. I had to post this picture because I flat out love it and I found it while I was rifling through my pics. I feel like it is the essence of childhood. So cute! This was taken last Summer. I made the girls take their shirts off to eat their popsicles because I am a horrible stain-getter-outer.
As far as life in general, things are going good. Ryan is 90% done with our 4th bedroom downstairs. I will post before and afters when that is all finished.
I am done with all of the practical schooling in my course and am now about to tackle the true transcription files. There are roughly 700 of them and I am supposed to be done by May 18th. If not, I will need to purchase an extension. YIKES! I can do it!!!
We went to the Draper temple open house on Thursday the 19th. Ryan, me, Gracie, Ava, Annie, Trev and Dad attended. I wasn't that impressed with the outside. I thought it looked like a big cinder block castle. It needed more shine to the gray--like the SL temple or something. The inside was beautiful. I pointed out the bridal dressing room to G & A. I couldn't help but imagine us being there in 20 years from now. I will be so excited to be in the temple with my beautiful daughters as they get married. I thought the baptismal font was beautiful as well. I also thought they had a lot of really lovely pictures on the walls.
