Quotable Quote

" I bend to sweep crumbs and I bend to wipe vomit and I bend to pick up
little ones and wipe away tears... And at the end of these days I bend next to
the bed and I ask only that I could bend more, bend lower. Because I serve a
Savior who came to be a servant. He lived bent low. And bent down here is where I see His face. And people say, “Don’t you get tired?” and yes, I do. But I’m face to face with Jesus in the dirt, and the more I bend the harder and better and fuller this life gets. And sure, we are tired, but oh we are happy. Because bent down low is where we find fullness
of Joy.” ― Katie J.Davis

Easter/Conference Weekend

We had a fabulous Easter and conference weekend. The Easter bunny visited us Saturday morning and brought basketballs, outfits, and the new movie Into The Woods. Tina, Jackie and their families came over for an Easter lunch, craft, and hunt. Sunday we went to Ashley's house, along with Annie, Trev, and Mom. I am a bum and did not bring my camera, but we had a yummy dinner and a lot of laughs, along with another egg hunt! The only thing missing through it all was Ryan! Surprise! :-(

Kids hard at work filling out their conference pages. The primary president has promised
them a large twisty sucker for returning them. Ah the bribes!

Love this smile today!

I took the curly pop to Ava's head and it turned out adorable.

Jackie found these darling Easter houses on Pinterest.

Christmas 2015

Christmas has come and gone and it has taken me til February to blog about it. Ryan was able to be home from December 21-December 27 and we enjoyed every minute of it! We celebrated our 13th anniversary on Dec 22nd along with Ryan's 35th birthday. We had a great Christmas Eve. First the kids opened their new pjs and we played pass the present. This is where I hand them all a small wrapped present (this year it was soda flavored jelly beans) and I read 'Twas The Night Before Christmas.' Every time I say the word "the" they pass the present to the person on their left. When the story is over they open the present. Of course to make it fun each present needs to be a little bit different such as a different flavor or color. We then sang and read from the book 'A Family Christmas Eve' and then Jackie, Gary and kids came over for lots of yummy finger foods and a showing of How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

Ryan decided he wanted to get the kids the XBOX. I was, and am, hesitant about it but it hasn't been that bad. They get a lot of exercise out of it and it doesn't seem to be something they are obsessed with. They are still out on the trampoline and roller blades enough that I don't feel like I am too bad of a mom! ;-)
My tree is looking sad this year. I never did get the items
I wanted to spruce it up with. Someday I will have a kid tree
and a nice looking tree. Oh and I think it's high time
I get some curtains in my living room!!!
