Quotable Quote

" I bend to sweep crumbs and I bend to wipe vomit and I bend to pick up
little ones and wipe away tears... And at the end of these days I bend next to
the bed and I ask only that I could bend more, bend lower. Because I serve a
Savior who came to be a servant. He lived bent low. And bent down here is where I see His face. And people say, “Don’t you get tired?” and yes, I do. But I’m face to face with Jesus in the dirt, and the more I bend the harder and better and fuller this life gets. And sure, we are tired, but oh we are happy. Because bent down low is where we find fullness
of Joy.” ― Katie J.Davis

Welcome Home Tegan

I know I haven't really posted about Tegan on here because I am trying to keep up with the other blog I have for him. I thought I'd include this on here though. My wonderful niece Jackie put together a party to welcome Tegan into the family. I love spending time with my family. They all love Tegan so much. I'm grateful for their support!

Gracie's 10th Birthday

Yes I am two months behind on Gracie's birthday update! Life seems to be on a fast track this year. Gracie saved a bunch of Christmas and birthday money and bought herself an Ipod Touch. She LOVES it still 2 months later. Longest lasting birthday present, and for the price I'm glad she is enjoying it! I had her fill out a birthday questionnaire. I'll include some of the answers here.

Who is your favorite person in the whole world? Mom and dad
What is your favorite color? Blue
What song do you love? Story Of My Life (One Direction)
What do you want to be when you grow up? A hair stylist
Where do you wish you could go on vacation? DisneyWorld
If you had a wish what would it be? To move back to Tooele
Who is your biggest hero? Mom and dad

We sure love this Gracie girl. She is so much like me that we butt heads at times, but we are wonderful friends. Gracie has such a great sense of humor. I love when something crazy or funny happens and we just look at each other and bust up laughing. I look forward to many more fun memories with my oldest baby!

Daddy is always in charge of the cake. He picks it out and makes sure it is lit and ready to go.

No 10th birthday would be complete without One Direction!

New Years Eve 2013

We had a great time at G & G Shepherds for New Years Eve. We lit paper lanterns and let them fly way up in the dark sky. We ate lots of yummy food and had a great time chatting til about 10 pm. We never make it long enough to bang pots and pans or light fireworks!

Temple Square 2013

Fountains at City Creek
My camera was blurry....and it was COLD but we enjoyed a night out at Temple Square. We missed this last year, which I regret because I feel like its an awesome family tradition. We went to Kassie and Katie's apt after and chilled out for a bit. Katie is a sweetheart and helped Ava make us all hot chocolate. We then made our way to Wendy's at 9pm for dinner. Yes, for all you people that know my early bedtime routine, you read that right NINE pm for dinner in downtown SL.

We happened upon Ryan's deaf friend Jeremy. We found out he ended up losing an eye in a softball game 1.5 years ago. We counted our blessings after chatting with him.

This is the first time the kiddies got to see daddy "speaking" ASL. They were enthralled.

JJ not so enthralled....getting BOOOOORED.

Love when the girls decide to be matchy matchy on their own.
