You all know I hate the idea of "idealistic blogging." My life is better than yours. My husband is cuter. My kids are sweeter. You get the picture. So I looked around my house today and decided I would give you a peek into how messy it really is. Of course it isn't always this bad, but with three little kids, and two messy adults, it definitely could stand a visit from Merry Maids. To top it off I can't stand our couches; I'm not too fond of the counter tops and linoleum either. But of course I am grateful for our happy, yet cluttered home. I just feel like I have to be uncensored and tell it like it is sometimes, so that I am not seen as one of those bloggers that I can't stand. Of course Ryan could KILL me for putting this on. I told him I will have to do an "after" video, but that's no fun right? This is my version of the "parade of homes." If you want to see after go to Jackie's blog and search for the parade of homes post. Her house is immaculate. You'll have to mute the music and sorry for my mumbling. That is a bad habit I have. |
Quotable Quote
" I bend to sweep crumbs and I bend to wipe vomit and I bend to pick up
little ones and wipe away tears... And at the end of these days I bend next to
the bed and I ask only that I could bend more, bend lower. Because I serve a
Savior who came to be a servant. He lived bent low. And bent down here is where I see His face. And people say, “Don’t you get tired?” and yes, I do. But I’m face to face with Jesus in the dirt, and the more I bend the harder and better and fuller this life gets. And sure, we are tired, but oh we are happy. Because bent down low is where we find fullness
of Joy.” ― Katie J.Davis

Oh my H Coa! I have never seen your house like that before so you must clean up for company. Maybe I'll surprise you one day. Hahahah. My house does get messy sometimes, BELIEVE ME! But I only have one kid so I can have it whipped into shape again within minutes. Now if I was following 3 around...YIKES! I am going to have to stop being a perfecto and bite the bullet on just having a messy house. That will be a sad day for me, I'm stressed just thinking about it. LOL! I usually have all the junk picked up but I'm HORRIBLE at vacuuming and dusting-I'm sure you are better at that than I am! Who isn't? Seriously!
LOL! Yea I LOVE vacuuming. I actually vacuumed that day if you can believe that. I will have to do an after just so people don't call the state on me for endangering my kids ;-)
It normally isnt' THAT bad, but I'll tell ya with three kids it really does slack off.
LOL.. Hilarious, Zack watched it with me too. We loved it.. matches ours. Can't believe you showed it!
Oh I love it makes me feel better. Gracie was so cute too and poor little Ava. You should have left that crock pot at my house and it would still be clean. Its not that bad. But now you can understand me better I hope lol...Annie...You done it to make me feel better right lol
Ya Annie. Now you don't have to feel so bad about your clutter! ;-)
I do understand you because you work out in the heat and cold and when you come home you just want to crash. Me, I'm just a blog addict and like to play around too much.
I was proud of you displaying your
home, but in your defense, it DOES NOT look like this generally. We
all understand and everyone has
their days where it would be easier
to move than to clean. You have a
great sense of humor to have posted
this. Tell Ryan to chill a little.

I love it! You totally made my day. Seeing other moms that are human and who don't live with OCD relatives makes my life complete :)
I love the mess because I always feel self-concious when Rachel comes to my house. (Since she used to live there and had it looking better than me. Rachel will tell you otherwise though.)
