Quotable Quote
" I bend to sweep crumbs and I bend to wipe vomit and I bend to pick up
little ones and wipe away tears... And at the end of these days I bend next to
the bed and I ask only that I could bend more, bend lower. Because I serve a
Savior who came to be a servant. He lived bent low. And bent down here is where I see His face. And people say, “Don’t you get tired?” and yes, I do. But I’m face to face with Jesus in the dirt, and the more I bend the harder and better and fuller this life gets. And sure, we are tired, but oh we are happy. Because bent down low is where we find fullness
of Joy.” ― Katie J.Davis

Farm Country 2010
It looks like there is a spot right next to Breck that little Jesse will have to fill in a few years!

Fire Chief
So I have had a hard time keeping up with everything lately. I have more pictures I could post about other things, but I thought I would add this today. After Aubrey rode away on the fire truck at her wedding, I kept hearing Breck tell me "I want to ride Aubrey's fire truck mom." So finally we got together with Ashley and Niel and the kids got to ride in the fire truck. Niel gave them each a grab bag of fire stuff and Breck proudly wore his hat and fire truck jammies that night.....no the jammies didn't come in the bag....I think they came from cousin Derek.

Jesse Wayne
Our grand finale Baby Jesse (pronounced Jess) was born 12 days early on August 17 2010. He is a teeny guy at only 6.4 and 19 inches. He looks like a mixture of all of the kids...mainly Breck. Looking at him reminds me of all my others as newborns.
Jesse is my paternal grandparents 100th grandchild. He will most likely be the youngest grandchild on both mine and Ryan's side. He was born the same month as my grandpa Jesse Evans, just 100 years later. I love that he is named after a great man. Grandpa Evans is the epitome of turning a bad childhood into a wonderful life. Wayne is Ryan's middle name and his dad's name....two more great men.
We feel so blessed to complete our family with this little guy.

Blueberry Bread Pudding
If you have never tried bread pudding you are missing out! This is very fattening and high in sugar, but that's what is great about it.Ingredients:
3 eggs
4 cups heavy whipping cream
2 cups sugar
3 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
1 pkg (10-12 oz) white baking chips
1 loaf French bread, cut/ripped into 1-inch cubes
Ingredients (for sauce):
1 pkg (10-12 oz) white baking chips
1 cup heavy whipping cream
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine the eggs, cream, sugar and vanilla. Stir in blueberries and baking chips. Stir in bread cubes; let stand for 15 minutes or until bread is softened.
Transfer to a greased 13x9 baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 50-55 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Let stand for 5 minutes.
For sauce, place baking chips in a small bowl. In a small saucepan, bring cream just to a boil. Pour over baking chips; whisk until smooth. Serve over bread pudding.

Legacy Lake
So, we headed back up to the Heber Valley Camp last Saturday. Ryan's parents were there, of course, along with sisters Jodie, Katie, and Marianne and their families. We ate BBQ turkey, dutch oven potatoes, salad, rolls, watermelon and peanut butter bars. We then headed to the lake. I got lucky and was in a canoe with Ryan and his dad, which means I really didn't have to do much. Unfortunately my big fat belly made me feel cramped and nauseated so I had them drop me off at shore. I got to hold baby Ethan again. He has such a beautiful little face. He is about 3 months old already! Yes, I am a bit baby hungry.

Heber Valley Girls Camp
Ryan's parents are serving a mission up at the HVGC and we were able to go up with 2 of Ryan's sisters (Jodie and Katie) and their families to see what they do and spend the night. We stayed in a really, really nice cabin (think AC, heat, indoor plumbing, and a huge restaurant-like kitchen). The only downside is it was only for 1 night. We will probably go up again this summer sometime to canoe on the lake etc.....
Grandpa and Breck.
The missionaries. I love my in-laws. They are great people!
Ava getting ready to totally impress everyone! The Elder missionary that was helping with the zipline was like, "She is my hero! That just made my day!" Ava flew up the ladder, flew across the bridge, and flew down the line like a pro! We all laughed and laughed! It was so cute to see. Gracie absolutely refused to go. She was the only one that didn't go.....besides big fat pregnant me and Breck and 2 month old Ethan. But I reassured Gracie by telling her I wouldn't have gone anyway!
