Quotable Quote

" I bend to sweep crumbs and I bend to wipe vomit and I bend to pick up
little ones and wipe away tears... And at the end of these days I bend next to
the bed and I ask only that I could bend more, bend lower. Because I serve a
Savior who came to be a servant. He lived bent low. And bent down here is where I see His face. And people say, “Don’t you get tired?” and yes, I do. But I’m face to face with Jesus in the dirt, and the more I bend the harder and better and fuller this life gets. And sure, we are tired, but oh we are happy. Because bent down low is where we find fullness
of Joy.” ― Katie J.Davis

Happy 5th Gracie!

Gracie celebrated her 5th birthday on January 25th. It was a Sunday, and I also had her on a Sunday, so I thought that was kind of cool. I can't believe she used to weigh only 7 lbs. 5 oz. I added a few pictures from her younger years that I thought were cute. She has always been a BEAUTIFUL little girl. We are so proud of her!

5th b-day pic from Kiddies. I was good and only got the free 8 x 10. I made her cute leggings. I love them! If you want any for your girl(s) just let me know. They are easy to make.

I thought I would add this cute video of her at about 15 minutes old.

Victoria's Secret

I think I know what Victoria's little secret is......she starves herself! I found these two cute swimsuits. The top one is a tankini. I like the way tankini's fit better than one pieces, but the one piece is actually cuter than the tankini, I think.

Now if I could just jump on the V.S wagon and starve myself I think one of these swimsuits would actually be doable this Summer. That or go get a part time job, so I could afford their cover ups that are as much as the swim suit itself.
Don't you love the little white triangle between this woman's legs? No thunder thighs here!
I actually bought this coat...no phantom shopping on this one....I got it in like a wine red color though. It will be so cute for church or just dressing up. It was originally $109.00 and I got it for $39.99. The sale ends today 1-14. You can get 50% off of their already clearanced coats and sweaters. Just put in promo code PICK50. Coa I know you were a V.S-aholic at one time, so maybe you could find something you liked. Too bad they don't have a maternity section....or do they?

Chuckie Cheese X 2

We have been to C.C a couple times lately. First pic is of us trying to figure out where to look and when to smile when we went to C.C for cousin Charlie's b-day. She turned 5 in December. The next two pics were on Sat. We went with Tina and kids to celebrate cousin Tyler's 3rd b-day.
Amber and Grace. So cute! Gracie trying to take one of herself. Not working! lol.

Chili Chicken Sandwiches

Ingredients:

1 pkg (8oz) cream cheese, softened
2 cups cubed cooked chicken
1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (4 oz) chopped green chilies
3 Tbsp. chopped green onions
1 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes (or ground red pepper---what I used)
1/4 tsp. chili powder
Kaiser rolls to put chicken mix on.

Directions:

Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly; put roughly 1/2 cup of chicken mixture in each roll and bake at 375 for 5-7 minutes.

Tried this for the first time tonight! Ryan was impressed! I would say to add more green onions. It gave it a lot of flavor!

My Shopping Spree

I may be sick and twisted, but I like to think of it as frugal. Basically I like to go online and go "shopping", which consists of me picking out everything I want, and then abandoning my cart before checkout. These are my latest finds at The Buckle. Can you tell I love sweaters? I thought these shoes would look cute with a black and white dress. A little tacky, but I think they are fun.
Of course this sweater looks like an XL compared to the others ;-)
I think I probably saved close to $150.00 on my phantom shopping spree today! I honestly could have found 1000 dollars worth of clothes I wanted there.
This is what happens when my kids take long naps. I go from email, to my bank account, to the fridge, to my school work, to email, to shopping. Should that last sentence have commas or not? Seriously somebody tell me.

Incredible Dwarf Woman

Ok I couldn't find a picture of this dwarf woman that I saw on TLC, so I decided to put on this funny pic of the Seven Dwarves I found.

Anyway, I saw this woman on TLC that was 3 feet tall. She was a doctor. Can you imagine? She worked with children, cause she said that makes it easy on her since her arms are so short and children are smaller.

I was blown away by her accomplishments. So anyone that has the excuse "I can't do [blank] because of [blank]." doesn't have a good enough excuse. It was a really inspiring story! I SO wanted to stay up and watch the 2 ft. 11 in. woman that actually had a baby, but I was too tired. I don't have tivo (or however it's spelled) so that wasn't an option. Ryan's all "That's like as tall as Gracie!" I'm like "No, that is only 6 inches taller than Breck!"
