Quotable Quote
" I bend to sweep crumbs and I bend to wipe vomit and I bend to pick up
little ones and wipe away tears... And at the end of these days I bend next to
the bed and I ask only that I could bend more, bend lower. Because I serve a
Savior who came to be a servant. He lived bent low. And bent down here is where I see His face. And people say, “Don’t you get tired?” and yes, I do. But I’m face to face with Jesus in the dirt, and the more I bend the harder and better and fuller this life gets. And sure, we are tired, but oh we are happy. Because bent down low is where we find fullness
of Joy.” ― Katie J.Davis

Flashback Friday
Mom gave me this pic not too long ago. It's me sitting on Ashley. I honestly thought I was cuter than that as a kid. I will find a cuter one to put up sometime soon to prove I wasn't that bad!

Baby Animals In Cache County
We went up to Cache Valley about a week and a 1/2 ago. Ryan's sister lives up there. Her and her 4 kids and me and my 3 (Ryan was working) went to a farm day thing. Can't remember who sponsered it, but it was fun. We checked out the baby animals. Waited in a huge line to take one spin around this train track, had lunch, held baby turtles, and waited in another huge line to see the 3 baby bears that were brought down from Bear World in Wyoming.

The Lemur.....Our 4th Child.
So we found out today that we are having another BOY! I really felt like we were having a boy a few months ago, but then I started second guessing myself. Ryan guessed girl again, which he has done with all four kids.
Since I know some people are ultrasound-challenged I have labeled the parts for you.
Just in case this face (eye) doesn't look like a lemur to you I have included a picture of an actual lemur at the bottom, so you can compare the buggy eye(s) for yourself. Don't forget to notice the little ribs, adorable cheek and lips. The more I look at this pic I really believe this child is frightened to come out and join our family!

Snow in April?!
I think I am in denial about Utah weather. Every time it is nasty lately it is like a slap in the face! I thought April and May were considered Spring!
Ava has wanted to build a snowman for literally a couple years. Her and Breck headed out to build one the other day. I was kind enough (ha ha) to give them a carrot and a kick in the pants on their way out the door. Ryan was doing the dishes and saw them out there struggling. They had actually made 2 big balls, but he knew they wouldn't be able to finish, so he went out and helped them complete it. Ava told him "It is so nice to have a dad that will build a snowman with me."

Flashback Friday
Aren't I always a day late and a couple hundred short?
I have a hard time flashing back too far because our cd reader on our computer doesn't work and so I can only grab pictures that are on the computer for now. This is Gracie, Ava, and Aspen at Thanksgiving Point last August. Aspen did not want to sit with these strange girls for a picture. :-)

Rainbows
You know how kids are. They color way to many pictures and bring home way too much paperwork from school. I have a tendency to look at it and say how wonderful I think it is and then trash it behind their backs. I just can't keep everything. I only keep the best of the best.
Anyway, the girls made me some pics this morning I thought I would post them and then secretly trash them. The top one is Gracie's. The bottom one is Ava's that she made for Gracie so she put Gracie's name on it too. Ava can now write 4 things without help "Dad, Mom, Gracie, and Ava".

My Happy 28th!
I decided I had my happiest birthday ever this year. Ryan was surprised when I told him that, but the truth is as our kids get older life just seems to get more fun and more enjoyable. Harder too, but in a good way. I wouldn't trade any of it. I feel so blessed!
What went on:
1. The kids woke me up 2 hours later than normal and gave me their presents (Ava-an empty toilet paper roll, Gracie-a book of stickers Grandma had just given her).
2. Go upstairs to the smell of bacon, hash browns, sausage, and toast.
3. Sit through breakfast while Ryan repeatedly tries to get the kids to stop begging me to share my meal. ( I always cave in and shared more than half my meal)
4. Watch conference.
5. Die eggs.
6. Go to Walmart to get my Easter bunny supplies.
7. Take kids to Cabellas to look at the dead animals and wander around. All the while wiping Ryan's drool as we look at 4 wheeler accessories, huge mounted elk, and gun safes.
8. Go to JCW's for dinner.
9. Go to Cold Stone for dessert. Scold Ava for mooning people coming in the door at Cold Stone (she claims she didn't know her butt was hanging out).
10. Listen to the family sing 'Happy Birthday' to me on the way home.
11. Put kids in bed and read 'Matilda' to the girls while they fall asleep.
12. Take a bath while reading 'Daughters of Shame'. Another great book from Dana. It is about honor-based violence, arranged marriages, and such.
13. Beg Ryan to come to bed early so I can snuggle up to his back and keep warm. Bed by 9.
